What the Democrats must do to win.

It's a depressing and conservative world out there. I feel your pain, I really do. The Democrats have to elect a moderate to push a more progressive agenda into the mainstream. They can't win with a proclaimed liberal, because the word liberal has become a dirty word in today's political landscapes. We need another Bill Clinton, another JFK, someone who will be memorable and successful.

I fear that the Republicans will put up strong candidates like John McCain or Colin Powell and easily win in 2008. I myself have nothing against either of those two men and I wouldn't cringe daily if they were the leader of the free world as I do with G.W. Bush. I fear that the Democrats are dying and we are entering an era of Republican dominance. Of course, as we all know, domniance can be stopped. The Democrats dominated throughout the 30s and the 40s until Eisenhower stepped in, so we too can get our own Dwight Eisenhower and grab control of the reins.

Here's to hoping.
